I bought the Kindle HDX 8.9 initially because I wanted to make the jump to a tablet with more functionality (re: keyboard) but I've been disappointed with the keyboard. It looks slick, pairs well, and appears (on the surface) to be great for this device but it sadly isn't so. Mine is on it's way back as I write this review. The main flaw is that this keyboard is designed to be incorporated with the Origami Case (which is horrific, do not buy) and yet it does not magnetically connect well and has to be used separately from the case and Kindle itself. I find it very awkward to use in this manner in the settings that I typically want to use it most (traveling, airplanes, hotels, etc.). You really have to have exactly the right setup to use it effectively. The instability of the case makes it even more challenging to use. Overall, very disappointed in the keyboard and case. Not worth it at all for the price tag on each, will not be keeping either. On the positive side, the Kindle itself is amazing!! Every bit as great as I had hoped. I really hope Amazon gets it together with the ancillary products.
