ruins anything it's sprayed on
This product does a great job of creating an amazingly hydrophobic surface. You can coat a piece of cardboard in this, shove it to the bottom of a pool, and pull it up dry.
Problem is, it wears off very easily. Rub it with your finger and it's gone. It also dries out and surface it's on, so it you put it on leather shoes not only will they be milky white, but they'll also dry out and crack.
It's sticky too. Anything you spray this on is going to suddenly have a surface like a rubber grip pad. I had a white pair of shoes that I intended on turning into work shoes and only are they very hard to put on now, they collected dust and grass clippings more than any other shoe I've owned. Can't wash them off because the water will bounce right off and if I use soap the Neverwet is ruined.
On a final note, they claim it's a "milky" color. I expected this and planned for it. However, it's not milky or hazy in a predictable manner at all. Sometimes it's clear, other times it's practically like white paint. Shaking it more thoroughly doesn't seem to change it, and I assume it has something to do with a chemical reaction that's occurring.
Save your money, don't buy this product. Hopefully it will disappear off the shelves and we can look back and remember how we all got scammed by a miracle water repellent.
