It works but is actually an unethical bait and switch. You are buying a cable thinking you are buying a high-speed transfer solution (eg. hardware AND software) for your computers right? That's what this product leads you to believe you are buying. What you are really buying is just the hardware. It comes with a "30 day free trial" watered down version of the software and directs you to website where you are can then purchase the software for more money. So the hidden and unethical proposition is what you are buying now will be completely useless in 30 days, unless you fork over some more money. In terms of functionality, it does work and it is fast and easy. I was getting anywhere from 100MBs to 240MBs transfer rates (using some SSDs). I t's appears easy to use in it's automated "just make me an image/full copy" modes. I used the drag drop which is a little too basic. For example if a file can't be copied over because it's already open or the filename is too long (some kind of windows issue), the whole transfer will stop and require you to click "continue" form a dialog. Unlike windows copy that also asks if you "want to do the same for the next X files" this has no such feature and will stop for each and every file with a problem. So in drag and drop mode, you have to babysit.
