There are two things wrong with this puppy, which makes it useless for its intended purpose, and I wish I thought of it before I hastily went ahead and ordered it. Goes to show you; always read some reviews about the item you wish to purchase ahead of time. 1. Your car door is most likely padded ( thick) a lot more than the width of the hook on this cup holder, so it is not possible in a way to hook it in where it will be useful, and... 2. Even if you somehow managed to hook it in, it will pop out of place each and every time you fully open your window and then close it. In the process you run the risk of spilling liquid in your lap / car or perhaps scolding yourself from a hot drink. My advice is to find another way to gain extra cup space in your vehicle.
