Low-Flow Weak Sauce
I had a "no name" brand of one of these things on my kitchen sink for years. It was awesome. It swiveled. It sprayed. It streamed. Yay.
Until one day it sprung a leak in the side (like this product, it's not metal on the spray head part, it's plastic). So I tearfully went on Amazon, read reviews, and replaced it with this one. And, well, poo.
This thing was built to be WEAK. It has not one, but two "small hole" flow stoppers (one in the top joint, and one in the spray head). I have good water pressure, and was absolutely shocked at how "soft" this thing sprayed. I immediately took it off and started digging to try and remove whatever was blocking the flow. But, nope. It's part of the design.
I even tried to use the elbow joint from my old one (which doesn't choke off the water flow) but even though the threads matched, it leaked uncontrollably. So I couldn't use it.
This also has only ONE row of spray, whereas my old one had two (see pic). Which is also a big bummer.
Look. If I want a "weak" stream on one of these things, I'll back the water off at the tap. DO NOT hamper these kinds of tools with bad design, in some sort of effort to save me from myself. These are sprayers. They are meant to spray food off plates, and then spray that food off the sides of your sink. And you can't do any of that with this.
