I should have bought an asus Tuf instead
Model Name X570 AORUS ELITE WIFI(rev.1.0) BIOS Ver. F3b VGA Brand Nvidia VGA Model GTX 1070 CPU Model R5 3600 Memory Brand G-Skill PC4-25600 Memory Size 16G Power Supply 550w Used to love gigabyte motherboards, they were the only brand I trusted. After loads of research I settled on this one because of its intel lan and great VRM. This thing worked great for the first two days after I installed it. New cpu, new ram, new power supply all tested on other systems. only thing I'm re-using is the same GTX1070. I got a new power supply because the last two gigabyte boards which I had, all suffered the same fate. Upon pressing the power button the system would attempt to start several times before finally booting and eventually they wouldn't boot at all. This one is now doing pretty much the same thing, so it's a matter of time before it will never start up again I guess? As I have said I've tested my parts in other systems and they work just fine. however with this new motherboard no dice. This thing comes on when it feels like it. Hit the power button and it's a gamble.. It hangs at a black screen forever. You have to kill the power from the psu wait a bit and try again and after doing this several times you might get lucky. It's not bios settings either because I've reset that updated that several times and been through all of the settings even enabled and disabled xmp, enabled dummy load, ERP power settings all failed to fix this issue. I got a dud. I should have bought an asus I really really should have just bought an asus $200 in the trash. smh Sorry I can NOT recommend it. and I think I'd do best to stay clear of gigabyte. This is my third gigabyte board this year to go through the exact same issues I'm fed up. Thumbs down for me.
