Inaccurate product description
Product description clearly states these lights are 800 Lumens "per Light". That is not true. Product listing also states that lights are 12Watts but stops short of clarifying if that is 12 watts per light or 12 Watts total for the entire string. The answer turns out to be that it is 12 watts for the entire string in total. Here is the quick math - This is confirmed by the fact that the string is supported by the included 1AMP transformer. Basically a 1amp 12v transformer can only support 12 watts in total not the 48watts. As a result, these lights are basically 3Watts each. Even the most efficient COB Led chips are no more than 100 Lumens per watt which would mean these lights are closer to 300 lumens not the 800 lumens listed in the product description. I do not have access to a light meter but I did have an 800 flood light to compare it against. These lights were no where close in brightness to the 800 lumen flood light. Otherwise the lights seem to be fine. They are plastic but seem to made with decent quality and depending on the quality of the led chip could hold up for a while. I bought these based upon the 800Lumens per light description which sadly is not the case and my reason for awarding only 1 star. I may hold on to these lights since returning is a hassle. My hope in posting this review is the product supplier will revise the product description with more accurate information.
