Contains maltodextrin
I received these recently, and was looking forward to taking a probiotic from this respected company. I took one for a few days, but I noticed that I was having a much more rapid than normal heat rate, and was having a lot of trouble sleeping. I am quite sensitive to MSG, and tried to figure out if I could have unwittingly ingested any. That led me to the Prosynbiotic bottle, and voila! maltodextrin was on the label. Maltodextrin is an "artificial sugar" that contains MSG, a known excitotoxin that stimulates the nervous system. I felt betrayed to find it in a supplement by this formerly stellar company. I say "formerly" because I find many of their newer products questionable--they seem to be formulated to appeal to the latest trends rather than backed by the kind of solid reasoning of their founder, Royal Lee. Cod Liver Oil capsules with lemon flavoring, maltodextrin in several supplements, magnesium citrate (synthetic) in nearly everything, sourcing some of their animal products from animals not organically raised......it makes me sad, and now quite wary of their products, other than the ones that have not been altered since their inception.
