I wish I could separate the product itself from the pricing criticism, but it doesn't allow that. I bought a 2 lb canister of this Phood product in July after not being satisfied with the previous vegan protein powder I used. I realize that this is not a pure protein powder, but it seemed like it should satisfy my needs. Regarding the product itself, I was satisfied with the taste, the texture and how it blended. It doesn't completely quell my hunger but it does seem to be a satisfactory supplement to go along with some of my low cal vegan meals (I am newly vegan and trying to keep my protein intake up). My complaint is that, the price I purchased the product in July was right at my upper budgetary limit at just under $40 for the 2 lb container, or about $2 per serving (I paid $38.88 to be exact). But I was ok with it then even though my other vegan protein powder was in the mid $20s. Now only 3 months later the price has increased 25% to $48.65! That's just nuts! Priced me right out of the market. I tried this brand label's pure protein powder, which is somewhat cheaper, but the flavor and mixability was not satisfactory. If the price doesn't come back down on Phood, which I hope they do, else I'll just go back to my old vegan protein powder.
