When I step on the pedal to lift lid, it not only lifts lid but back corner gets caught and also lifts the divider top. This restricts lid to a less than an a 45 degree opening and forces you to press down on dirty divider with your hand. This happens every time that I try to throw something away, which is extremely annoying, especially when I paid $200. It looks nice, but doesn't function and/or is defective. This is very inconvenient to have to return the large trash can to the UPS store. Would be nice if the manufacturer would just ship a replacement so that I don't have to do this and/or schedule UPS to pick up at my home.
