I bought this thinking it WAS a typewriter! It was supposed to be a christmas gift for my niece and i reviewed the description and thought i read it correctly, but apparently not thoroughly enough! Even the recommended items below the product showed typewriter ribbon, which i bought. Then, a really bad print/ picture of the typewriter showed up in the mail instead of a real typewriter and it made me feel so scammed! I even read the review about how much better this typewriter was than the plastic typewriters, which made me justify that this was indeed a real typewriter. I can't believe i paid $45 for a picture of a typewriter! Then ultimately, i had to go on craigslist and find someone locally to buy a typewriter to give to my niece on Christmas... not fun, not impressed, definitely not worth the money.
