It pissed me off when I found out the adapter only works with TRS microphones. If you don't know what a TRS male 3.5 cable is, I don't blame you: it's a headphone cable with three sections, and a TRRS headphone cable had four sections. So if you have a TRRS microphone you need to buy a TRRS to TRS adapter (I recommend the MOVO adapter) for it to work with the Gopro Microphone adapter. I wish they had included one with this overpriced product, or even mentioned this on their product page so their customers don't have to waste their time figuring out how to get their microphone to work, and then having to spend more money.
