EDITED 1 year 6 month review --- I have had the monitor a year now. Screen bleed, dead pixels, and in need of replacement, should have gotten extended warranty. They don't sell this model anymore. Makes sense. One year is a very short amount of time for a monitor to last at the price I paid originally new. It started losing pixels in about the 3-4 month. More since. I would say 100 or so now. Which spread out isn't that big of a deal I can deal with a lot of annoyance. I am not a perfectionist. But the screen bleed is another mater. I am not sure how much longer I have, currently the edges of the screen all have some bleed spots that are super bright. They are getting bigger over time. I am absolutely going to replace it in the next few months. I just don't want to spend several hundred bucks again on a monitor. My last monitor before this one was a samsung. Amazing monitor it was just 23in though and I wanted 27. It lasted 6 years 6 months, no dead pixels. No bleed. Perfect. I still have it and may switch back if this gets too bad before I get a new one. This monitor however is pretty much on it's last leg after less than 2 years. Not happy. Anyway. Maybe you might be considering this monitor used, or maybe you find a new one. Or maybe you are doing brand research. Regardless I have to discourage you from getting this monitor. I normally don't update reviews. But I also normally don't end up getting products that fail like this. Oh well live and learn. Next time warranty for sure. Original: Monitor itself is amazing so far. But it has one glaring issue. Initial install you MUST disable power save on the monitor then restart it to make it work, unless you start it with a HDMI cable instead of DP cable. I got an HDMI cable to make it run and found this out after. Had I not had an HDMI cable and a spare monitor this would have been a major issue, as I wouldn't know if it was my newly custom built PC or the monitor. Listen carefully, Disable power save mode. Then restart the monitor by unplugging and plugging back in. If you don't it will only work with HDMI. Press button 4 Press button 3 Scroll down to others then disable it and restart monitor, by unplugging and plugging back in. Aside from this glaring issue that freaked me out when I powered up first time, it is great. Honestly that power save feature should have been off by default since it has issues.
