FATAL DESIGN FLAW - pump requires constant replacement due to poor design. The pump is constantly met with a lot of resistance because it has to pump water through a plastic chamber with a filter inside. Due to this constant resistance, the pump fails frequently and needs replacing every 2-3 weeks on average. Also, the filters (both the brand name and the generic ones) cause a slime buildup in the bowl literally within hours. I have a small chihuahua who doesn't slobber and doesn't drink a lot, so I know the immediate slime buildup is not from her.
