In the last Couple of years I have purchased three of these machines and at least two replacement bowls. The gel in the bowls that freezes does not last. Very frustrating and has become very expensive. Makes great ice cream, but after my latest experience with a product failure at a small dinner gathering-- I am so done. In addition, I purchased two machines for family members as gifts and never received any feedback. I called them both and asked about their experiences. One machine lasted through only two sessions and the other through the hottest part of last summer. Come on Cuisinart--I feel ripped off and foolish.
