I have been a whitewater rafter for over a decade. During that time I have used a lot of gamma lids and buckets. I bought two new lids for a week long river trip at the end of September 2019. Both lid seals failed. One fell off and was way too loose to reinstall, the other dropped into the threads and was pinched and creased. Water entered both buckets and damaged a camera, ruined a charging unit, and soaked some clothes. Not sure why these lids are such garbage now, but I won't make the same mistake again. Don't trust them for waterproofing. They were good once, but no longer.
