Bargain Shoppers Beware
While I enjoy Meyers soap products thoroughly, I wanted to point out something that may not be so obvious when deciding which size to buy.
The regular pump versions of Meyers soap (I purchase the Lemon scent) are 12.5 fluid ounces at 3.49-3.99 depending where you shop.
The refill is 33 fluid ounces at 13.49 (as of 7-25-14). This bulk buy refill is a waste as it actually ends up costing you more.
Simple math puts 33/12.5 at about 2.6 refills which is more expensive than buying three 12.5 hand pump versions at $3.49. ($10.47, $3 dollars less). Not only will you be saving money, you'll also get an additional 4.5 fluid ounces of soup (per 3) when you buy individually. So if the bulk buy of 1-33oz bottle is not $6.99 like Meyers site - buy individuals.
I'm all for saving the environment when it comes to plastic, but how did Meyers mess this up? No matter how many 33oz you buy, buying individual 12.5oz bottles will always be cheaper.
Maybe if enough people email this to them we can create some internet buzz. At least make the refills 37.5 for $10 or like.
