Most average joes (including myself) probably don't regularly purchase denatured alcohol or know a lot about it other than that it is just like rubbing alcohol but drier and instead of isopropyl, it's is mixed with methanol. But keep in mind, the only reason that it is mixed with methanol is so people can't drink it. That being said, we don't care about the methanol. It's the ethanol that were looking for. That's what your paying for. So generally when you go buy denatured alcohol it's usually mixed 85% ethanol (give or take) and say, 15%methanol (give or take). And if you read this products description it says, "Contains 100-Degree Pure Denatured Ethyl Alcohol." However if you look up the MSDS and see the indgredients you will see that it actually contains: Ethyl Alcohol 43.3% Methyl Isobutyl Ketone 0.8% Methyl Alcohol 52.3%. So the majority of what your paying for is methanol. Do not waste your money. I would suggest you search "Kleen strip green" as it contains 94% ethanol.
