Get a "peanut" for a few dollars more, squinty eye!
Ok, this thing is essentially pot metal, with a not so impressive rubber "washer" to seal the unit and a dip-zinc paint job. Carry this in your pocket dinging around with your keys, and yes that awesome zinc plating will begin to make this $10 lighter look like a $0.50 lighter that came out of a gumball machine, causing you to lament the fact that you didn't get the blow-pop ring instead. There are MUCH better products out there for a few dollars more, and no... you don't have to be Clint Eastwood to get this. Try google-ing "peanut lighter" and you will find something made of stainless steel, with an actual internal o-ring that is shielded from pocket debris and erosion, and that relies on gentle compression instead of a vice like twist seal toy-seal similar to this product. This means is that the gasket will last a lot longer on the other product and I forget what I paid, maybe $14, and the makers of the peanut actually drive over it with a truck to illustrate the strength (not that I'm plugging this other mfgr, so I won't even mention their web site, but you'll find it in a certain county perhaps). Instead of this China-pot-metal trinket that belongs free with a cap gun, sporting corroded cap popping studs and a rusty hammer, seriously get yourself an actual stainless type and save your $10 for a couple of happy meals. Two stars to be fair to the fact that it does light and produce fire, and if kept in a drawer, wrapped in tissue paper, with gentle twisting force applied ONLY, ...this lighter will look OK and probably light your vanilla-chai candles just fine.
