Only access to the bathroom is from the patio. It's a glorified outhouse. Definitely NOT suited for cold climates! The loft is a glorified crawlspace. This plan is a disaster. Since the plans don't appear to include a deck, the simple solution would be to just enclose 'cutout' space, making the house 612 sq ft. The additional space would enable an expanded kitchen and bathroom, an entry closet, and a small entry space (as well as allow you to use the bathroom without leaving the house), with little additional materials (it's pretty much just repositioning walls).
