I bought this at Costco because the package said "MicroSD Recording (no cloud service required)". In fact, the product requires connecting to a Samsung cloud service to run it. Not just to set it up, but it must be connected to do anything with it. I confirmed this with Samsung tech support. The app did not even work on my Android phone or my Amazon tablet, but did work on another Android tablet. The app requires connecting to the Samsung server, and requires giving Samsung access to you phone contact list and other private info. Some customers may not mind keeping the camera on an open wifi network connected to Samsung, but this is a security product, and I am appalled that anyone at Samsung would require such spyware in the product. It causes me to wonder what else Samsung is doing, if this is their idea of security.
