At first this wheelchair seemed to have it all. We loved it and used it a few times. It is easy to travel and easy for my mom to pick up and stow away in the trunk. That was until last week. The wheelchair had only been used for a total of 12 times, and my father was sitting in it when it gave way and broke, leading my father to fall and hurt himself. For the record, my father is 6' and 185lbs (not obese). I called Drive Medical and informed them of this , and they said it had been more than 3 months since purchase and they wouldn't be able to provide a refund or an exchange (it was 4 months since I purchased it through Amazon). Needless to say, I will not be purchasing anything from Drive Medical and I don't recommend anyone else does either -- if you care for the well being of the person using it.
