I may not have the flattest stomach in the world but this skirt gives me a belly pooch due to the way the front detailing is cut. Somehow there is extra fabric bunching up and the “5 months pregnant” look is NOT the one I’m going for. It might fit better on someone else. Additionally the bottom of this skirt seems different than the sellers picture. The seller’s pictures seems to show there is more fabric at the sides with a more billowy at the bottom look starting from mid-thigh, but the one I received seems to have the flare seam a lot lower down, almost below my knee, with no billowing or extra fabric, almost in a straight-down pencil style. I may have received the wrong size, the tags on the packaging said medium (which is what I ordered), but the inside tag sewn into the skirt says “S” which I would assume is correct as I can BARELY pull it over my hips (I wear a medium normally) but I cannot be certain. There is no indication of the materials on the tag but I assume it’s mostly cotton as there is no stretch to the fabric (excepting the waistband as there is elastic sewn in). I would have preferred it to be thicker fabric but it is passable, I would describe it as “medium weight” denim and should last for a decent amount of wear. I REALLY wanted to love this skirt but I am entirely dismayed. It’s simply unflattering and so I must return it. The hunt for the perfect black denim skirt continues....
