I have purchased two of these toilet seats and have had the same issue with both. After a few months of use one hinge goes bad in some way I cannot figure out. It causes the lid to close more on one side than the other and starts going off to the side, making the toddler flip down lid come off. I thought perhaps I had just gotten a bad one after this happened with the first one I ordered, but I bought another one in July, three months ago, and it's happening again. Very frustrating. I won't be buying a third one.
