I agree with other reviewers who had problems or concerns with the plastic T connector they supply to make the water connection. I would never trust that cheap part and I didn't even try to use it. I ordered the chrome metal T connector valve they recommend and sell separately. It is a high quality piece that also mostly solves another problem with the product by allowing you to adjust the maximum water pressure that comes out of the spray jets. The lift up water control lever is really more of an on or off switch and does not allow you to effectively modulate the intensity of the water spray. Using the optional T valve is the best way to avoid a painful experience. Also as other reviewers have mentioned, since this product does not heat the water the water it shoots at you is the same temperature as it is in the cold water pipe in your house. In the winter the water supplying my toilet can get extremely cold and it makes using this product very unpleasant! If they had incorporated some sort of reservoir at least the water would have some chance to warm up to room temperature. I also had the same problem as many others have mentioned with the way this product fits under the seat. It does raise the rear of the seat so it doesn't sit level and the back seat pads no longer rest on the rim of the toilet. This will lead to bending and failure of the seat unless you buy and install taller rear seat pads. These should absolutely be included with the product but they are not. Since there is no way to adjust the aim of the spray jets it is up to the user to reposition ones self so the water hits the desired spot. Maybe I just sit wrong because this thing hits me on the right cheek every time and I have to reposition way to the right to get the water spray hit the target. This product doesn't dry you either so you still use paper to dry yourself. Because the spray jets deploy from a fixed position at the rear of the toilet bowl they spray you at a pretty good angle forward and unless you keep the water pressure very low the water jet can actually spread things around and cause a larger area of your backside to need to be cleaned afterwards with more paper. I would not recommend this product or any product like it and I will not buy another one for myself. Next time I will buy one that warms the water and has a better controllable nozzle that directs the water upwards at your bottom and not at such a forward angle. I also want an integrated seat that fits properly and a warm air dryer. Those features cost hundreds of dollars more but I have come to understand and believe that they are essential for a product like this.
Update 6-18-15
I was promptly contacted by email as soon as the manufacturer saw my review above. I am very glad to report that they have an outstanding customer service department that will do anything they can to make their customers happy, far more than most companies I have dealt with. They apologized for any inconvenience related to their product and offered to send me their new and improved model and another high quality chrome T-valve at no cost to me. I gladly accepted their offer and received the new unite in just a few days. The new model of this bidet is the Neo 185 and it certainly is an improvement over the original Neo 180. The new 185 uses a turn knob or dial to turn the spray nozzles on and adjust the forcefulness of the spray. The new control dial is still sensitive but it does make it easier to turn the water on slowly with less abruptness that the original Neo 180. However, it is still absolutely necessary to be able to greatly reduce the maximum water flow going to this bidet and using the optional chrome T-valve does that well. While installing my new Neo 185 I was also able to fix the aiming issues I had been having with the 180. I discovered that my toilet seat had been pushing down on the bidet housing and causing the water jets to spray at a more forward angle that they should have been. I installed 1/8" spacer washers between the seat and the new bidet and now my new Neo 185 sprays at the perfect angle and works much better. I still need to find taller seat bumpers to properly support the back of the seat because the bumpers they supplied for me to try were not tall enough but that is a minor issue. Also, the water will still be painfully cold on those mid winter mornings but that won't be a problem for me for most of the year.
In light of the companies tremendous customer service and because the new Neo 185 is a little better as far as controlling the power of the cleaning jets I can now recommend the purchase of their new Neo 185 bidet. You still must purchase the upgraded T-valve and taller seat bumpers separately if the company does not include them with the bidet but with their excellent customer service you can be confident that they will do whatever they can to make their customers happy. Considering the relatively low price of these products I think the new Neo 185 is great product. Now I only need to figure out how to make the water temperature more comfortable during the winter months. I plan to find a small inline reservoir or just install a very long supply hose that I can coil and hang behind the tank so the water has a chance to warm up to the room temperature inside the house.
