Since I'm an amazon Prime member and buy a lot of things directly from Amazon, I decided to apply for this card. Because of an ID theft incident several years ago I have frozen all of my credit reports. This freeze didn't allow instant approval, so Chase sent me a letter asking me to call them with a one time credit report unlock number. I called, gave them the unlock number and they were able to get my credit report. I talked to 2 different representatives and they kept asking the same questions. They said that they would send me another letter asking for more information. The next letter asked for a copy of a photo ID and a utility bill showing my address. I made a very clear grey scale copy of my state photo drivers license, with my date of birth and address on it and a copy of my current utility bill and sent them as requested. Today I got a letter from them saying that they could not read the enclosures and I needed to send proof of date of birth. After this runaround I have no desire to do business with them. Apparently they were able to tell from my credit report that I have always paid off my 2 credit card balances monthly. I have never paid interest. The last 2 times I've checked my credit rating it was excellent. I have always been granted credit for loans instantly. Chase is apparently only interested if they can charge you huge interest charges.
