I was looking to get a better vacuum than I had and found this vacuum at a great price. I bought it and man was it an improvement. Except when I used it on some of my carpets I found that it would get caught and stop spinning. I used it last week and it picked up so much, it was great. And then this weekend I used it for about five minutes on carpet that wasn't making it get stuck and suddenly it stopped, smoke shout out of the sides (I thought it was dust at first) and then flames shot out of the side in my living room. I lifted the thing in the air, hoping it wouldn't set my apartment on fire and I rush over and unplugged it and threw the thing outside. I showed my roommate the melted plastic and quickly opened the windows and turned the fan on. Do not buy this vacuum. It almost burned my apartment building down. I'm not joking. I'm reaching out to the company now.
