HATE IT.
I bought this for our fourth, so I'm not a first time mom. I wanted something simple, yet sturdy. I loved the price, especially for a two in one. It was easy enough to put together, and seems sturdy. I loved (past tense) that the table when assembled in to a high chair made for extra storage. I kept a basket with bibs and wipes for easy reach. Well now that I've owned it for 10 months, I absolutely hate it...here's why- 1. You have to tip the tray toward the child to remove it. Which means you must clean it before taking them out of it, otherwise they're going to end up with a lap full of any remaining food on the tray. Not all kiddos are patient enough for you to clean up all the crumbs first. It also requires two hands to unsnap to remove it. Not so great when one hand is full of a hungry child. 2. Remember I said I loved the extra storage? Well it turns out that it is convenient for bibs and wipes. It also kindly holds about 75% of the crumbs and food that is dropped. So I have to move anything I was storing there to wipe and clean that as well as the floor every time. Annoying. 3. The tray itself has the bar attached that goes between their legs. It snaps in to a divot in the seat as you lower the tray. I worry I might pinch his little thighs. 4. That brings me to the next two issues. The divot the bar snaps in to, is deeper than the bar. So it collects all kinds of food pieces that I then have to dig out after every meal or snack time. Also annoying and gross. 5. Since the bar is attached to the tray, it makes it really inconvenient to put it in the dishwasher. Most of the bottom is filled by the tray and bar. What a waste of water. So handwashing it is. Again, annoying. 6. Because there is a bar, I do not use the buckles to strap him in. It's not like he can slide out the leg holes and the chair itself isn't big enough for him to have room to climb out of it anyway. So I removed the straps (they're made to do that for cleaning) so he didn't have to sit on the unused buckles. Well the straps are the only thing holding the pad in place. So now the pad slides all over and even gets in the way of the bar snapping in the the divot in the chair. So I either have to use the 3 point buckled straps or have a slip sliding pad. You guessed it, annoying some more. 7. Once it's turned in to a separate table and chair, the table has holes where the chair legs once locked in to. Those would be fine if you didn't let them eat or drink at it. Food will most definitely end up in there. Good luck cleaning that. Slightly annoying, but more gross. 8. It's not adjustable in any way. The tray has one possible position. The chair back doesn't recline in any way. Straight up is all it's got. Hope you like the height, because that's not adjustable either. I was trying to hold out until he was big enough for just a booster. I didn't want to waste money on another high chair we'd only use for a couple more months. And we made it! Safe yourself the hassles and annoyance. Buy something else. Anything else but this, really. Don't fall for the "Oh..that's a good price, AND it's a two in one!" There's a reason it's cheap. I promise.
