I used to have a 4 to 5 star outlook on this product. However, I can no longer recommend this product. We have bought several over the years. At first, we bought more than one as additions to help speed up our work. More hands doing, typically means getting the work done faster. Recently though, the additional purchases have been as replacements because the existing ones have died. The products just do not last. The first pair lasted between 14 and 16 months. Then they had a design change, and all of the newer models have not lasted a 6 months. We've been through 3 of the old versions and 3 of the newer versions and none of them last. The failures we've seen range from the switch going bad to the unit just dying. Typically the switch goes bad, so you either have a low speed function but not a high speed/temp function or vice versa. We have had two units just stop working--which could most definitely be the switch. Today, the last one we bought will turn on but sounds like it's gargling water.
