no good without a cable subscription
I love HGTV. The reason I held out so long on cutting the cord on cable was because of HGTV. I finally did, (sort of) when Sling TV came out. I can watch HGTV on Sling, over my Amazon Fire Stick. I saw this app and wanted to try it out, but when it said I have to link it to my cable provider, i realized it is worthless. If they come out with something that costs 5 or 10 bucks a month to just watch HGTV, I'm there. Otherwise, don't waste my time.
