Really hoped this would be the solution for brown guacamole, but the lid was hard to push down straight. Whenever I tried, it tilted one way or the other and then guacamole got stuck in the gasket that goes around it. I'd clean out the guac and try again, but it would happen over and over. My husband was able to push it straight down but it wouldn't go down as far as we wanted it to: if you only make small amounts of guacamole, this won't go down far enough to touch the top of it. I also tried it for storing hummus since I make larger amounts of hummus, but once again had the lid tilting trouble with hummus getting all over the gasket. Concluded that this just wasn't worth constantly having to clean and reseat the lid.
