After finally getting fed up with my duvet constantly slipping down into the cover, I was excited to find these duvet pins that seemed to work (based on the reviews). I purchased the 8 pack and as soon as they were delivered I attached three of them to my duvet. At first I was pleased with them, they were doing a great job of holding my duvet in place, my only issue was they are a bit obtrusive and uncomfortable; but, nonetheless, they did the job. Several weeks later I noticed where the small white plastic cap that goes over the needle-like pin had popped off, exposing the tip of the pin. [NOTE: If the white cap pops off as it did in my case, it MUST be reattached before you can remove the pin. The magnetic “key” will not work without the white cap, at least it wouldn’t for me] I reattached the cap and a few days later I was faced with the same issue. I decided to swap these out with the others that I had not yet used. However, the same issue arose, the SHARP needle-like pin was left exposed. Today I was getting out of bed when that sharp exposed pin scraped across my leg, OUCH! After I finished tending to my wound, I immediately removed all of these pins from my duvet and I will never use them again. Yes, they do hold the duvet in place (reason for two stars) BUT I don’t believe they’re worth the risk of the injuries they can cause. - - - • Attached photos show the aforementioned white cap missing with the needle-like pin exposed.
