This text is made of very durable canvas and from the water test I did with the garden hose seems to be very water tight. The water Beaded up and fell right off leaving the outside of the tent almost completely dry instantly. This tent also shipped out and got delivered very quickly. Realistically the 9.8 model will only sleep 2 people , the tent only came with 10 of each stakes and 10 ropes not 14 like the listing states , there is no stove pipe hole at all which even though it’s listed and pictured as having one is fine because there’s not enough room for a stove anyway. About 4 of the ropes came frayed and probably won’t last more then a couple of uses. The listed dimensions of 118x118x78 are also inaccurate. The actual dimensions are 105x105x78. The sides do completely separate from the bottom of the tent like the picture shows but it’s pretty pointless as the vertical sides are only about 10 inches tall. Opening the 4 windows on the sides gives plenty of airflow and is a lot quicker and simpler. If this tent had been accurately described and the ropes not been shipped damaged this probably would’ve been a solid 5 stars
