When will Amazon bring back the real New York Times app that they had until recently? That one allowed users to read offline, such as on a train, where no WiFi is available. This one is not a true app, but merely a shortcut to the Times website, which requires WiFi to access. The loss of the previous, genuine, NYT app is a huge disappointment. I would bet I'm not the only Kindle Fire user who is considering switching to another tablet brand for this reason alone.
