So I read the description preview of this book, and was excited to read about a FMC and her possible love interests respecting her and treating her like an equal. I previously DNF at 32%. Color me annoyed when an old fashioned bully relationship started to be written. If a bully romance was mentioned in the summary, I would not have picked up this book. I’m not against them, but I personally don’t like reading about women being treated poorly and them falling head over heels for this guy. Couldn’t finish. Then I reread the preview description, did some math and hoped that the bully wouldn’t make it into the final count so I resumed reading. I got to 62% and I nearly threw my phone. The description made it sound like 5 men would treat out FMC as an equal, not have some guy make our FMC some outcast because he couldn’t regulate his feelings. And now he’s acting like a jealous brute and she likes it? I can’t stand reading books of authors who reward fiction men for this behavior. I’m doubly annoyed because I like the other MCs but I can’t stand watching this guy get any attraction from our FMC. It’s a full on bully romance and I’m sorry but I can’t watch this girl forgive him. I would have way more respect for the FMC and the author duo if they would just kick this guy to the curb and have him learn his lessons without the reward of getting what he wants. It actually made me a bit disgusted to read what he did and even more so when the FMC folded like cheap deck of cards. I lost what little respect I had for her.
