We purchased this mattress pad for our new bed for when we moved. Upon moving in, we washed it immediately to avoid the chemically smell of the pad. We dried it on low heat and when I opened the dryer I found little pieces of melted plastic-y shards all over my dryer and in the lint catcher. The bottom layer underneath the cotton layer is full polyester blend of some sort. It rendered completely useless and made a total mess in our dryer. It was a complete waste of money and resources and will now live in a garbage dump. Do not purchase.
