Beware if you use Dymo Stamps and Windows 10
This is maybe the first review posted by someone who actually purchased the product rather than a free Vine product. First the positives. The styling is relatively nice with clean simple lines. If you've used other Dymo Label Printers there is virtually no learning curve. Setup is quick and simple from both a PC and a Mac. The short quick start manual is actually pretty good with clear concise directions. Enabling wireless printing was also fairly easy. I tried this both on a Mac and PC and it worked well on both. I did not try setting it up with the the iOS app, which to be honest doesn't look very user friendly. I wish, though, there was a better way to get back to the printer setup other than having to remember the IP address of the individual printer. That said it's not too difficult and something you'll probably only rarely have to do. Reset is easy back to factory defaults. Print quality while very good, is similar to older Dymo printers. Speed to print is very fast, almost like a direct USB connection, and noticeably faster than using a Dymo Print Server.
Now the cons. First I purchased at least one of these to use with Dymo/Endicia Stamps. At this point the software with Dymo branding does not recognize this printer. This is surprising especially since the printer comes with a sample roll of Dymo/Endicia Stamps. I contacted both Endicia and Dymo. Endicia had no idea of the problem (and referred me back to Dymo even though they wrote the software). Dymo, at least acknowledged the problem (and the support call was actually positive with someone who seemed knowledgeable and who had gone through all the same steps that I'd gone through to resolve the issue without success. The problem at this point is that the Endicia software doesn't recognize the new Dymo LabelWriter Wireless driver. In any case they had no date for a solution).
So to sum it up.... it is certainly better that the combined solution of something like the Dymo 450 Turbo with a Dymo print server (my current solution for printing stamps). It is easier to set up and faster, with good cross platform compatibility. My only issue is that is doesn't work with Dymo Stamps (interestingly if you look at the first photo in the product description it shows the printer printing a Dymo Stamp)
Addendum 3/7/2018: I've been using this printer for several months with both Mac and PC. It has continued to function well with the Mac. Dymo Stamps still does not function (but at least they're acknowledging it...if you look closely :-)). My new issues are in regard to using it with Windows 10. Recently Windows 10 has been upgraded at a relatively rapid pace. The Dymo Label Writer software is upgraded at a pace that is best described as glacial. I don't think it has received a significant upgrade since the last millenium. In any case the last update of Windows 10 broke the drivers for the LabelWriter Wireless. No signs of an update. So in addition to "Beware if you use Dymo Stamps" I'd add "Beware if you use Windows 10". And why can't they do ad hoc wireless networking like everyone else? It shouldn't be this difficult.
