Heads up! This is no longer Pelargonium Capitatum x Radens!
I adore Edens Garden oils and the company itself but, as another reviewer mentioned, this is no longer the Pelargonium Capitatum x Radens they previously sold which does a great job of repelling ticks. They are now selling Pelargonium Roseum which does not. So for all of you who had no luck using this as a tick repellent that's most likely why it didn't work. Like that other reviewer, I also messaged Edens Garden to ask them to bring back their wonderful Pelargonium Capitatum x Radens. Update 4/5/16: Apparently it is no longer possible to find quality PGxR and that's the reason Edens Garden switched to Roseum. They are working on another essential oil reported to be very good at repelling ticks...Catnip...and hope to have it available soon. In the meantime Geranium Bourbon (Pelargonium x asperum) country of origin China is suggested by certified aromatherapists as an excellent tick repellent. Geranium Egyptian (Pelargonium x asperum) country of origin China is also a good tick repellent. I've discovered there is a lot of confusion regarding the different Geraniums. For now I think your best bet is to buy a Geranium Bourbon from a trustworthy EO company (like Edens Garden or Plant Therapy to name just two) and make sure you confirm in the description that the country of origin is China. Good luck all!
