This nutritional yeast tasted awful! It smelled and tasted like it had creosote in it. (Creosote has a very distinct aroma.) Maybe this was grown in creosote treated wood? Whatever medium and growing platform was used, it tastes very bad. I bought another brand of yeast flakes and put them side by side. The whole family could smell and taste the difference between the Frontier Co-Op yeast and the other brand. The Frontier yeast went into the garbage can. I really wanted to support this company because I like their business model....But one of the farmers that they buy from has turned out a nasty product. They need some sort of quality control. I purchased this on Amazon on 11 February 2018. Hope it was just a bad batch but I will not be trying it again.
