Against fake reviews ...
I never thought I will write a review, especially a bad one, for a product I didn’t try or even touch. But it’s the only way I know to raise a flag about the other reviews posted here.
I was looking to buy a hot tub to be used mostly by my kids. An inflatable one seems the most efficient (performance / usage time / price). Beside listed characteristics and a good price, this Coleman unit looked great with 3, 5 star reviews. Until I looked a little closer …
1. All 3 reviews were posted in Oct (2014) when hot tub “season” starts.
2. All 3 have similar writing style and are very hype about a “great product from a great company”.
3. NONE of the reviewers is a verified purchaser!
4. NONE of them has any other reviews (of any kind).
5. With one exception, posted questions are answered by the reviewers or, other “people” with two letter user names and NO review activity on Amazon (of any kind).
6. I checked this product on Walmart web site and I found a similar pattern. There are 4 verified purchaser reviewers out of 25 reviews. The ratings for these 4 reviews are 5, 4, 4 and 3. But the 5 star review is clearly for the wrong product because it ends with “great product made by Bestway”.
At this point I have to assume that all 3 reviews posted here in Oct are fake. I will check this product daily and remove my 1 star comment when real shoppers post their reviews. Till then, I’ll keep the flag up.
PS – I have nothing against the product itself. Great listed performances for a great price. But I am trying to keep the bad sales techniques out of Amazon reviews area.
