i bought this book after reading some of the recent reviews. evidently i didn't follow down through all of them. this is NOT a novel. it is a collection of 3 stories, with 1 and 3 loosely having the same theme. the characters are consistant through each story, but their development is lacking. the story line would best be suited to a tween reader. to compare this to the Harry Potter series is absurd. will not continue with the rest of the books
