Computer science professor here and long time fan of Microsoft. I pre-ordered my Surface Book (i7 with NVIDIA GPU) from the Microsoft store and received it on the first day of availability (The 26th). Since then I have experienced every one of the problems cited on the web. - The Hyper-V related video hashing. - The audio pops and clicks. - The freezes in mid use. - The hangs when trying to resume from sleep. - The delayed action of the track pad. (I have tried to attach a sample video showing the display hashing) I was willing to wait it out for more driver updates. Now, then pen - which started falling apart as soon as I got it - will only intermittently register with the screen. I realize now there are problems no software update can fix - I am not about to, for example, buy a new pen once a week. There is so much to like about this laptop that it is very upsetting that I must return it for refund. I would love to keep it, but this is a tool and it isn't working out.
