Do not buy! I purchased the Seagate drive just over 6 weeks ago. Yesterday my computer suddenly stopped recognizing it. No clicking noises or warning whatsoever. I called Seagate and had a lengthy conversation. Their solution is spending $699 to recover the data!!! $49 non refundable just to "look" at the drive and then $650 to recover the data. And then they offered to send any (if at all) recovered data back on a 4TB drive. Apparently the 2 year warranty is worthless. I now notice all the other 1 star reviews. I hope you take heed too.
