Earplug Primer
Flents Quiet Please: -They look the best (they are almost a white, which makes them look clean and non-offensive, as some reasonably think others earplugs are gross) -They are a plug shape which is basically the same shape as the bell -They are very comfortable (although the material is kinda odd and feels like it would cause friction it is somehow fine) -They do a fairly mediocre to poor job of blocking sound Hearos: -They look reasonably good -I like the bell shaped ear plugs over the T-shaped ones -They are NOT comfortable for repeated long term wearing (possibly just in those w/ sensitive ears / small ear canals, but for whatever reason I'm one) -They do a very good job of blocking sound Howard Leight Max Lite: -They look the worst (they are green as they are industrial use designed) -They are T-shaped, which I don't like and I find myself cutting the T end off at times -They are very comfortable -They do a very good job of blocking sound So as is always the case, each one has some tradeoffs depending on what is important to you. Personally I've tried them all for extended periods and the Max Lite is the winner in my book as comfort and sound blocking I rate as the most important categories, I'd love if it looked better. If you don't need as much sound blocking (Flents) or have ears that don't get bothered by larger sized / pressure ear plugs (Hearos) those might be the choices for you.
