I purchased this item as a gift and I was Embarrassed when I was shown the comforter condition after about 4-5 weeks of use. The material came apart. The threads on the ends of it separated by sitting on it. The material in the middle of it has numerous small separations in it from normal usage. The person who I gave this to is an Elderly woman who keeps an immaculate house and cares for her possessions very well. It's a shame as she quite liked the item and tried sewing it to no avail. It's a shame as it is comfortable and attractive to see. Not a happy camper. Update: Two days after contacting Amazon about this item, they sent me a New Comforter! Now-that's good service!
