My Chihuahua was losing teeth as he got older, so I started him on soft food. This had high ratings and it's a well known brand, so I took it at face value. Within two months he wouldn't eat it unless he was very hungry. Took him into the vet and he was diagnosed with diabetes. Only then did we think to look at the ingredients list. HFCS is way too high on the list. We kept him going for most of a year with better diet and twice daily insulin shots. But eventually his quality of life went to heck and we had to do the kind thing. RIP, little buddy. I'm so very sorry I gave you this food. I killed you through trusting aname brand to have healthy ingredients.
