So I love a good chopped salad and figured I could save money if I bought my own salad chopper. This one came with great reviews and even greater pricing so I hit the one click button and waited for it to arrive. I am not sure why so many people said it didn't really chop the salad.... it does. My lettuce wasn't mangled at all. It chopped it perfectly. But that perfect chop comes at a price that isn't so worth it..... the handle is SHARP and if you aren't careful you are going to carve up your fingers as quickly as you carve up the lettuce. It is actually an insane design. Now I know why the price was so low. It would have cost them a bit more to cover the edges of the handle so that it wouldn't be a lethal weapon. Honestly I would have paid a bit more to get that safety feature. BOTTOM LINE: If you value your hands, then don't buy this chopper. It's true that it does a good job of chopping lettuce but the handle has two very sharp edges just waiting to draw blood. I'm going to keep looking for a decent lettuce chopper and I suggest you do as well.
