The design for the lid is atrocious. The sipping aperture aligns with the handle so you can't sip like a human being. If your right handed, the handle would be at 3 o'clock when held and the sipping aperture should be at 6 o'clock to drink right? But no... No matter how much effort that aperture aligns with the handle at three. Who can use this safely? I wrote Thermos and their second reply was curt and condescending. They sounding as if their sending me a lid this "one time" was a favor to me. What? This is a design flaw. Their own photo here shows a properly aligned aperture. That is not the case in real life. I have had some great Customer Service from manufacturers. That is NOT the case from Thermos. Update: Thermos sent a replacement lid that is no better than the original. Good try, But fail. I've included THEIR own image of how they say it should align. It is the fourth image shown.
