NOT THE REAL DEAL> FAKE!
WARNING: This is NOT the real thing!!! (At least for the Galaxy Note II) ***SEE UPDATE 3*** I have the Samsung Galaxy Note II which has a large battery. The stock charger will charge a fully dead battery in less than 2 hours. It takes this charger at least 6 hours to charge the battery from nearly dead. This may not sound like a big deal, but if you just need a little bump charge to get through the day, or you forgot to charge at night and need enough juice to make it though work, this charger can't do it. This charger will only work for overnight charging. You may be surprised how often you want to just get a little 15min charge bump which this charger CAN NOT do. *UPDATE: The seller of this product is listed as "Samsung" but the seller name on the invoice is "Accessory 4G". At a minimum, this product is mislabeled to include the Galaxy Note II. I have now purchased the more expensive stock original charger from AT&T. I can confirm what others have written here that they are not the same. The real stock charger is about 10x more effective. This is because it pushes more power. I am not an electrician, but if you look closely you can see that the output listed for the chargers are different. I hope that helps clear up this review. **UPDATE 2: Amazon is really good about refunds. Contacting Amazon to issue a refund is about as easy as it can be. If you get something that you don't like, doesn't work, doesn't fit, isn't as advertised etc. ask for a refund!!! In my experience, Amazon frequently has let me keep the item and also issued me the refund. You can't beat that with a stick. I hope that helps you if you have had a bad experience with this product or any other! ***UPDATE 3: Today, 8/6/2013, I contacted Samsung directly (800-757-0280) and this is what I learned. ***There are NO AUTHORIZED Samsung venders on Amazon.com.*** This does not mean that a particular vender may not be selling real goods, but if they are selling the real product they did not get it directly from Samsung. Samsung told me, if you want an authorized charger you need to buy from Samsung (currently out of stock today)or check your local retail stores like AT&T or Best Buy. - Now, back to my personal thoughts on the matter. Often you can save some money by using the cheep Chinese copy of something. Just check out all the positive reviews of this charger. However, when you try to do that, realize it might not work out as well as you hope it will. : )
