The issue of sharp vent holes reported in 2017 and 2018 has not been resolved. My crate arrived today 1/16/2020 and based on the reviews of dangerous vent holes I inspected mine prior to assembly. I found one vent hole that had a sharp jagged edge that could have cut my cats nose too. I was able to sand it down smooth but am very disappointed with Petmate. The crate was easy to assemble, I really like the secure door latches and my cat likes it I would give this crate 5 stars if not for the poor quality control issue regarding the sharp jagged vent hole. Anyone purchasing this should inspect the inside vent holes prior to putting their pet into this crate
